The yeast present in Imutis is the Saccharomyces boulardii. This strain has the advantage of being resistant to acidity and proteolysis in stomach, therefore it permits the taking of Imutis during the meal. In the gastrointestinal tract, it is able to reach high concentrations in a short time and persist in a viable form, without, however, colonize the intestinal flora permanently. Imutis presents a unique combination and complete, specifically formulated, formed by the conjugation of two types of micro-organisms: yeast and lactic acid bacteria.
